Building Equity Through Dialogue

On behalf of the Central Minnesota Community Foundation, you are cordially invited to participate in “Building Equity Through Dialogue,” a series of roundtable community convenings. This series of convenings is designed to identify and address existing conditions of racial disparity related to health, education, housing, employment, economy, and community engagement in the St. Cloud area. In addition, these convenings will help participants explore actions they can take to build a more inclusive community.

“Building Equity Through Dialogue” is a series of facilitated roundtable convenings designed to build a more inclusive St. Cloud community.

These convenings aim to grow social capital by expanding networks and connectedness to address challenges resulting from increased awareness and understanding of disparities in these key areas: education, health care, housing, economy, employment practices, and community engagement. A result of these convenings will be the formation of action groups that will partner with existing and new collaboration efforts. In addition, these action groups will identify and leverage community resources to advance racial equity, holistically.

Experienced facilitators will guide strategically-formed roundtables consisting of public, private, and social sector participants. Open-ended questions for each group will focus on:

Inequities and/or inequitable systems
Challenges and barriers to creating equitable systems, and action steps to enact change
Six convenings will be held, each of two-hour duration between 8 a.m. – 10 a.m. They will take place on the following dates at Resource Training & Solutions, located at 137 23rd Street South, #201, Sartell, MN 56377.
